What is the S.T.E.P. Up DC Youth Leaders Fellowship?
The fellowship program was created to bring together youth leaders from across D.C. who are concerned about the low graduation rates in D.C. schools and prepared to organize their peers and communities to combat its root causes. Fellows will learn leadership, organizing, research and photography skills that they will use to create, and push for public policies that ensure that all students graduate from D.C. schools prepared for college and a successful career. Youth who complete the fellowship are eligible for leadership positions in next year’s campaign.
Fellows will build their resumes and earn community service hours for participating! Food and stipends for transportation are provided!!
